GeForce 7900 GTX Preview

I've written an article detailing what we know so far on Nvidia's GeForce 7900 GTX, due out March 9th from Nvidia. It's a one page article but it's not one of those one paragraph per page articles, and is a good summary of all that is out there on the card. Check it out.

With all of the hype this card generated a few months ago, these previews and early benchmarks seem to imply that all it does is edge out the fastest ATI card by a few FPS. Oh well, my upgrade path has now just been pushed to late fall anyway. Bring on the 8x.xx series, Vista compliance, and the AM2 chipset... |

Considering the processoring has little to do with gaming anymore, I'd recommend staying with your current rig if you have PCIe, get 2gb of ram, and wait for G80. Crysis, the first DX10 game, is coming this year. |

You must have confused this card with nvidia's DX10 card codenamed G80. The 7900GTX was never meant to be anything different than a faster 7800 GTX |
