After the unbelievable happenings in Erfurt, Germany in which a 19 year old young man killed several people, german Counter-Strike players formed an alliance to point out that no direct connection line can be drawn between online gamers and potential violent people. Biased and misleading press reports of the german media have led many to believe that action gaming may be a threat to german society's integrity. Media reports in newspapers, TV and others have shown that german politicians are developing ideas to totally ban action based game titles from Germany. Gamer Gegen Gewalt - Gamers Against Violence is trying to shed some light on the true nature of online gaming - communication, having fun and getting to know other people.
