These are pretty awesome and almost play well on my Geforce 6800 GT.

I bought a Geforce 6800GT when they first came out. Hell, with a $400 video card (that was the price when I bought it), I thought I'd be good for a while. This Nvidia vs. ATI competition sucks. The upgrading never ends.

Just bought mine for 220 €...
It's always costly to buy it when it comes out...

But the 6800GT should be ok for some time...
WGF2 ist still far away and an 7800GTX has the same Featurelevel (PS 3.0) - Ati does not even have that ATM.

Wow,you got Longhorn handy?.......WGF doesn't mean crap ATM........It's so you fanboys can play the epenis game....

Sounds like some jealous Nvidia owners kicking themselves for buying into the PS3.0 ads.

And you don't HAVE to upgrade every year,I just retired my 9700 for a X800Xt....three years....

Unless your bleeding cash.and are a hardware guru or reviewer.....there is no need for bleeding edge tech.

And these demos are just selling points...."Ohh,my card is still Nvidia and it can't play it...time to upgrade"

The ruby demo played on my 9700 with the wrapper, but It didn't sell the X800 to me..my new 19 lcds like to run 1280x1024..........and 9700 w/aa,etc can;t deal with that fast enough for me on some games.....and a laggy game on a LCD is a headache....must have FPS...;)

Ati,Nvidia,....it's all good......just don't buy something because it's the fastest,latest.....buy it because you need it....

Night....rant off..

What in the world do you mean? You ARE still good to go. That you can't play the latest demo from Nvidia doesn't matter, games are what matters, and your card should still play the latest games smoothly.

I got the Asus V9999 GE GeForce 6800 256MB which almost resembles your card, performance-wise, and I can play the latest titles in 1280x1024 with AA and AF on.

Mike runs fine on my Asus V9999 GE GeForce 6800 256MB. Framerate ain't too high, but not abysmal either.
