600 to 700W units seem to be the sweet spot for high end systems, they offer enough headroom for some serious overclocking, but not so much so that the extra premium for the unit was an absolute waste of money (1kw units anyone?).
In this review we'll be looking at two popular units - the FSP FX700-GLN Epsilon and the Thermaltake Toughpower 650W. We'll be testing them under multiple conditions with X1900 CrossFire and a high end Core 2 Duo setup (X6800).

I've always had good luck with anything from Thermaltake. right now I'm running a PS, Heatsink/Fan, and case from them. I got their Toughpower 750 (as a little future proofing...I'm not even running SLI) and have been more than satisfied. It's not much more than the 650...so I spent the extra $20 if it means I won't have to buy another PS for several years. |

I'm running a Tt PSU as well...and I tend to use them a lot too when I build systems for people. They are solid, are pretty inexpensive and come with plenty of cables (and they're super quiet too.) |
