This tool, the HyperTransport Analyzer, can be run on any AMD64 based system regardless of vendor, and displays the actual bus width and frequency, both upstream and downstream, of the HyperTransport link between the CPU and Chipset.
The utility must be run from the C drive. It does not work from the desktop.
