And if our wondering if they are any good i'll save you the trouble. After searching several forums, including guru3d half the people say they are great, half say they are a POS, so as always if it ain't broke, dont fix it. Of course if all you care about are benchmarks, go ahead, knock yourself out!.
And NVidia continue to create as many problems as they solve with every release.
One thing that did seem apparent, any benefits may only come if u have 6800 and/or DirectX9.0c.

Uh, these haven't been released. They're beta drivers.

Anyway, one good thing about the drivers is that trilinear optimizations can be disabled (works for Fx owners as well). Things seem to look a little better and Far Cry is a little smoother. Like the other comment said, they seem to split pretty evenly with people either loving them or hating them though.

Oh, the other interesting thing is that these drivers let us see the 6800 series options. The 16xAF and HQ mode don't seem to do anything though (for my 5900U).

Uh, :) Beta drivers or not, that doesn't excuse the NVidia developers from breaking something that was previously fixed. i.e. UT2004 rainbow textures are back, or Far Cry sucks again...
This happens every time, even with Official releases, I almost wonder if they are doing it on purpose for some strange reason.

hm, FarCry sucks not anywhere near what you are talking. FC performance has been upped since the 61.21 and remained like that till 61.40. Just check out nvnews, everyone with a 6800U can see speed increases in FC even when forcing the R300 path.

Eitherway, digital vibrance has been noticeable enhanced on all GF cards and all GFFX users have no the choice to enable high quality and disable brilinear.

Looks to me like one of the better forceware releases and most people at nvnews agree with that.
