Would have been funny if the pic ACTUALLY had been funny.

Anyway, people saying Intel copies AMD maybe should remember who invented x86 to begin with. ;)Or, MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3, etc for that matter.

Exactly. I don't know where these people get off thinking Intel copies AMD.

The picture is pretty pathetic. That's why there are only 5 posts at 2,500 views.

The problem isn't that they're copying AMD (after all, the two companies have an alliance to share their tech), but rather that Intel is TAKING CREDIT FOR IT by trying to rename the x86-64 instruction set to 'IA-32e'. AMD never renamed ANYTHING that it got from Intel.

Forgot to mention that the picture is totally lame. Quit posting lame 'news' like this.

Intel owns the rights to x86. They are allowed to change whatever to it as they please. You're just an angry fanboy out for blood.

Learn your facts before posting crap like that.

Intel filled it's mouth with almost as much BS as you are spilling, arguing about how useless a 32-64bit hybrid would be.

Now they are playing catch up thnx to their arrogance and the fact that Itaniums(and anyo other 64bit capable cpu for that matter) have failed miserably.

The Itanium has not failed miserably. It has served its purpose in the server industry quite well but it is now *OBSOLETE* much like the Pentium 3 is OBSOLETE.

Are you one of these people that wish to compare a 10 year old 64-bit *SERVER* CPU (Itanium) to a 6 month old 64-bit *DESKTOP* CPU? (AMD64) If so, that is utterly rediculous.

If you want some Intel ownage then look at the Pentium M. AMD has nothing close to it in the mobile market. 8 hours of battery life and as much power as a DESKTOP 3ghz P4.

Where did I say that a 32-64 hybrid would be useless? As I said, a fanboy out for blood. Log off the internet and go outside.

How about taking your own advice vegetto34. you seem to be the only fanboy here. Pull your head outta whatever Intel executives lap its in & take a look around.

Prediction: vegetto34 will now accuse me of being "a fanboy out for blood"

I guess none of you have any sense of HAHA. It was purely satire. Get outside and soak up a little sunlight.

The pic just wasn't funny. Period.

If it had been a GOOD photochop then it might well have been, but it was a rotten pic, and hence not even worth a chuckle.

Untalented people should stay away from image processing programs.
