One of ATI's OEM's has jumped the gun and posted details of the Radeon 9800 and 9800 Pro yet to be officially annouced :) Here is what they reveal:

400MHz RAMDAC 8 pipeline architecture 256 bit data width AGP 8X/4X/2X compatibility support for simultaneous dual display DirectX 9.0/OpenGL support Radeon 9800 will be clocked @ 325/310MHz (core/memory) with 128MB of memory Radeon 9800 Pro will be clocked at 400/460MHz (core/memory) with upto 256MB of memory. The 460Mhz is probably a typo. More like 360Mhz.

Nah.. upping the memory clock by only 50MHz makes absolutely no sense. Keep in mind that ATI hasn't released a new product in 7~ months now, and R350 will be their flagship for at least the next 6~ months to come.

BTW.

310MHz = 620MHz = 19GB/sec
460MHz = 920MHz = 29GB/sec w00t!

Well...they'll have to be using some way different kind of DDR I & have some really interesting cooling to have a 460Mhz memory clock.

Did anyone notice that the A98P will have 256MB, which is reserved for the Radeon 9900. So I would agree, 460MHz is a typo. But I guess we'll have to wait and see, only 3 days to go.

It doesn't have 256MB, it supports "up to 256MB," just like the R300.
