The Far Cry demo is now available for download, allowing you to try out this upcoming FPS developed by Crytek. This massive single player demo offers "a full island, several weapons, and plenty of enemies.

Suprnova isnt illegal silly, its just an indexing site. Thats like saying the usenet indexing sites are illegal. |

Has anyone gotten this demo to run? It gets about 30 seconds into the loading screen and freezes the computer. The official forums are giving DNS errors so I can't ask there. So much for my next site at farycrynews.com eh? |

still cant find a link thats not full or busted, so i'm finally d/l the beta....(the one from ubisoft) not the leaked one, yea i know there the same, but i signed up for the beta, before some loser says sumfin thats supposed to sound smart or lame, save ya breath. |

Well. I think I got the answer to our problems Brewskie. & any1 trying to run the game in D3D having any sort of issues try this. try to edit the systemcfg.lua and change r_Driver = "Direct3D9" to r_Driver = "OpenGL" You can find this file here C:Program FilesUbisoftCrytekFar Cry Demo if you installed the game to its default location. |

How does it run with the changes? Im running it at default Dx9, but I had to set everything to low and reduce my resolution to 800x600 and it still runs choppy. |

what are you're comp specs? & try OGL if you want. I have read in the Rage3D forum that OGL will not be supported but R3D can often be a cesspool for bad information |

Sorry it took so long replying. I am running an Athlon XP 1800, 512MB PC2700, WinXP Pro SP1 and an ATI 9200 Pro 128mb Vid card. All the other games that I currently play work fine with everything maxed out. Its just this game that I get poor video performance. |
