Diskeeper is an automatic disk defragmenter that configures your defragmentation schedule based on the condition of your disk. It eliminates the need for you to know how often to defragment each of your disk volumes for maximum performance. Diskeeper will take note of fragmentation levels and adjust run-time frequency anywhere from every hour to one week. Diskeeper 7.0 is up to six times faster than earlier versions. It takes minimal system resources to maintain peak performance and runs in the background, unnoticed by end users.
After the recent release of build 427 Execsoft now is offering updated build 428 as a download. Changes are currently unknown as the readme.txt files have not been updated yet.

Diskeeper 7.0 build 428 includes changes to improve the defragmentation of files that have excess file allocations. These are files where the space allocated for the file exceeds the actual space used by the file. In some cases, the file data itself may be contiguous, but the unused free space allocated to the file is not. |
