"emission free " ???????

So where does the car get the power from? power stations arent emission free!

This always makes me laugh, the false economy associated with electric cars!

the irony is that we dont hear a better suggestion from you.
This has to start somewhere, fossil fuels burnt by cars need to be replaced.

The technologies to get cleaner energy are coming, the demand for them will increase with real products such as this car.
Things are going in the right direction.

"fossil fuels burnt by cars need to be replaced."

all that is happening is that fossil fuels are being burnt at the power staions instead of the actual cars!!!

Its a false economy is my point. Electric (unless wind or solar powered) is not a clean Power source.

Where do you live? Not all powe plants use oil. There are Windmill turbines, Solar power, nuclear (not so clean now, but getting better), thermo power (uses the earth's natural heat) and there are probably more, and more on the way. ;o)

at LEAST 75% of the worlds power consumption is based on fossil fuels (coal and oil). Then 20% on nuclear + hydro.

Making electricity a NOT SO CLEAN and not so environmetally friendly method of power.....

Jeeeeeeeezz its not rocket science.

neither is it rocket science to realise that its much easier to control polution from power plants than it is a car engine.

So you want us to keep using fossil fuels and then run out of energy. Not too bright a solution.
If we all thought like you we'd be eating raw meat in caves.

"So you want us to keep using fossil fuels" my point dipship is that electricity is STILL using fossil fuels although it is referred to as a clean energy.

That was the original point!!! FFS

Jeeez some people are so thick.....

Hardly, your original point was saying its not worth trying to do anything about the use of fossil fuels as they are still used to create the electric charge for the car.

You must be really well up on what Nuclear, wind, wave power etc are used for. They must have found a way to only use fossil fuels to charge the batteries from your argument ;)
Now this car is in production. there is material reason for further development of environmentally friendly power sources.

You act like a child, I suggest you master the art of communication before you leave school.
