Wow...analysts are STUPID! Seriously...I want a job where I am paid to make statements about things that are either known already by the public or are extremely outrageous. lol

Well, look at all the idiots still buying EA products.
Someone needs to tell em the facts since they are too stupid to notice them for themselves.

I haven't read the article yet but it wouldn't surprise me if EA idd suffers from bad product releases.

In fact EA's philosophy is something which should be looked into.

If you know a little bit about psychology you would recognize some hints in their thinking(when you see a company as a living entity to some extent).

The news is not very good, EA is a company which - despite the appearance - works very much on it's own.

It's not so connected to the outside world as most companies are to make good products which consumers actually want.

They tried to make an effort with an extensive beta program for their last big release BF2142(which is a GOOD signal) but after the release some things stood out.

Although they did extensive beta testing, after the product release it had still many bugs in it. At least 2(3?) patches have already been released afterwards(which is in this case a BAD signal)

The announcement of advertising in-game. Normally that would be a >slight< problem. They forgot however that you can only do such things if the rest of the product is flawless(in general terms).

Now it's yet another BAD signal.

If that wasn't enough(in this situation) it also became clear they would gather anonymous user information concerning their in-game advertising. In other words putting spy-ware in BF2142.(BAD signal)

So everything you do as a company has an effect on the outside world. You're sending good and bad signals all the time. And every signal has it's own weight.

I could go into more detail about EA's history which shaped our current image of this company and how every signal is perceived differently but I'll leave it at this.

EA should seriously rethink their company philosophy so that they start making good products with only benefits or where the benefits outweigh the product limitations(such as advertising).
