These kinds of movies are terrible 9 times out of 10. Just based on what I've seen of it, it just seems destined to be a bad movie. I didn't particularly like the last game either (and you can make note that sales were lower than expected). I don't think it'll quite be Alone in the Dark, but I can easily see it feeling like a b-movie that went over-budget. Hopefully it'll be cool, but I'm just a skeptic with this one. |

yup. it isn't on mars, doesn't have demons, involves a virus making people zombies, and has a "bio force gun". sounds like a sucky resident evil remake. but, i'm an ID whore so i'll probably see it anyway. |

well at least it wasnt made by that crappest director in the world at the moment, Uwe Boll. Or the other one who seems to ruin potentially great licenses, Paul Anderson. |

The director has a lot of experience as director or cinematographer on good dramas and action movies (Falling Down, Speed, and many more). Stan Winston studios will do all the monster-fx. Doesn't sound too shabby to me. Yes, it DOES take place on Mars. And if that rumour (about it not being on Mars) turned out to be bogus, why can't all the other rumours? They are just that. Movies with very little plot can be entertaining just as well, if the cast has good chemistry and the horror is done right. I for one liked Predator very much, which seems to have a lot in common with this project: a tight team of guys with giant guns are pitted against inhuman foes. |

heh a quote at the end states: "The Rock said that he saw a version of the movie a few days ago and in his words 'It really kicks ass'." i recall him saying something similar about The Scorpian King.. while i like jet li movies and the two credited to the director are fun to watch, he also directed a steven seagal movie.. i cant stand steven seagal. and this is also the writers first feature film.. and it has "the rock" in it. i'm gonna call it ahead of time and say this is one of those 6 out of 10 movies that stinks. will i watch it? maybe when it comes on tv, i dont think i'll spend the cash at a theater for it though. just my two cents. |
