Just spotted this bit of Info posted over at Futuremark's Forum by Ixon2001
For all those who will proberly find the game to hard here's a set of cheats to make it more easier on your brain.
To open the console you have to press 'Ctrl+Alt+~' by default and type the following codes in.

anyone get the give doom95 code to do anything? all it gives me is a strange message about my stats |

why are they odd? doom3 uses tons of shaders, it makes sense for it to be limited by the graphics card, not the cpu. |

True, but it might make some regards of those "huge hardware requirements" misleading. Wanna play D3, invest in a video card.....and we all know this has not been the usual way to upgrade for quite some time. |

Yes I noticed the exact same thing. Doom 3 is severly held back by your video card. I checked with my athlon at 1.7ghz, then at 2.2ghz, there was 1 or 2 fps difference, barely anything. Then I tried overclocking my graphics card from 300mhz to 360mhz and there was almost a 10fps improvement. I guess it doesnt really need the cpu, because honestly, theres hardly any physics going on in this game. Not like far cry where you can play around with boxes and sharks and stuff |
