#50436 Posted on: 12/31/2003 05:31 PM Personally, I think it will be released in January or Febuary. I've never seen a pre-order box on store shelves over 4 months before a game is due to ship. So if it's April 1, then id definitely put the box on shelves way too early.

#50437 Posted on: 12/31/2003 05:54 PM There aren't any preorder boxes out, atleast not at my Best Buy. Stores just want to throw out a release date and get people to pay $60 to preorder a game, that's it. They don't know when it will actually be released.

#50447 Posted on: 12/31/2003 09:01 PM Yeah - all of the Best Buys I've seen have tons of pre-order boxes and have had them for a few weeks, too. When I saw them initially I thought they were selling a demo or something. They're also pre-selling Halo 2 as well, but at least you get some things (I recall a non-playable demo amonst other things) if you jump on that now. No *clue* when that's coming out as I don't have an X-Box, but I was thinking that wasn't due until the fall. I'm betting on Doom3 to show up in late March, early April.

The release dates given by the publishers themselves are not even close to the actual release of 90% of the games and here u are discussing a pre-order date. Whether it comes in Jan or April or Dec 04, lets hope its a finished product.
