A critical update is available to remove unacceptable symbols from the Bookshelf Symbol 7 font that is included with Microsoft Office 2003. The Bookshelf Symbol 7 font is contained in the Bssym7.ttf file.

A bit gay not to say out loud what it is, it's the swastika (tilde char) that are apparently "unacceptable" or in the swedish translation "invalid". Lame to try and hide it so much, and why is it under critical updates in WINDOWS update and not office update? After all the symbol has different meanings, just as all symbols have. You don't seen them removing "K" from all fonts do you? |

Well said! And for M$ to make this a "critical" update when there are tons of unpatched Windows and Internet Explorer security holes is beyond me. They need to sort their priorities out! |

And strangely enough they can probably get sued by having an offensive symbol but not by having bugs in the software. Beleive me they do have their priorities straigth, just not yours |
