Creative Launches 3DBlaster 5 RX9800 Pro

VR-Zone.com reports that Creative has announced the new 3DBlaster 5 RX9800 Pro card based on the ATI Radeon 9800 Pro VPU with 256MB DDR-II SDRAM onboard. This card will be available in June and costs a hefty US$550.

Creative have also announced the 3DBlaster 5. GeForce FX 5900 ULTRA 256mb available for pre-order @ Komplett.co.uk for £428.14 (inc VAT).

Cannot find any info as yet, but will post when i do.

Is it just me or is the whole 9800 series a waste? I'd recommend a 9700 or a 5900. The 256 9800 is just a few frames faster than a 9700 in certain situations and yet over $200 cheaper.

I agree its not a huge step up from the 9700 and its overpriced, but it is the fastest fully functional DX9 card out.

and it has a faster antialiasing than the 9700.
