Creative has discovered a potential electrical problem with a number of units in a batch of subwoofers from their range of Cambridge SoundWorks MegaWorks 510D Speakers. This product recall is isolated to units within the serial number ranges B000001 to B002000 and B002801 to B004200. Creative has decided, in the interest of consumer safety, to recall all affected units from warehouse inventory, retail stores and end-user customers. This recall only affects European units with serial numbers that begin with a ?B? prefix in the serial number ranges identified above. It does not affect other geographic markets and units without a ?B? prefix in the serial number.



Please call the appropriate freephone number below during business hours where Creative Labs will arrange to have your subwoofer collected. You will be given an Authorisation Number (called RMA Number). Alternatively send a mail to megaworks510d@europe.creative.com (please include the serial number of your speakers in the mail). Please note that only the subwoofer needs to be returned. The subwoofer should be packaged and prepared for collection by Creative. The MegaWorks 510D will be replaced by a set of the new MegaWorks THX 5.1 550, the new model offers better audio performance, more efficient power consumption, more functionality and is 'THX' certified. As the sale price of the MegaWorks THX 5.1 550 is lower than that of the MegaWorks 510D and, as a gesture of goodwill, Creative will also provide you with a MuVo 128MB MP3 Player free of charge. If you are unhappy with this exchange, you may request a refund of the money you spent on the MegaWorks 510D (receipt only required to verify price paid).
