TAIPEI, TAIWAN, June 3, 2002 - ALi Corporation, today introduces a new generation chipset - M1687 north bridge and M1563 south bridge, supporting AMD (NYSE: AMD) OpteronTM and eighth-generation AMD AthlonTM processors - the
industry?s first x86-64 microprocessor technology. ALi?s M1687 equipped with AGP-8X support and HyperTransportTM bus to link to M1563 south bridge, provides the necessary capacity to fully unleash the power and performance of
AMD eighth-generation platforms.
