BFG 5900 Ultra

Posted by: Newsfactory on: 08/04/2003 12:34 PM [ Print | 6 comment(s) ] · 1123 views

Just got word that Clay Angelly over at Nvnews.net has thrown up his BFG 5900 Ultra Review!

The BFG Asylum GeForce FX 5900 Ultra left me with a mighty fine twitch. In fact, it's the first time since the Voodoo2 that I've experienced such a dramatic jump in performance over previous graphics cards. Even on my somewhat average system. What BFG states on the box: "TURN IT ALL ON" is dead-on accurate. I made a point to max out every possible graphical setting in all games tested and in the majority of cases, this GeForce FX 5900 Ultra card didn't break a sweat until the combination of 1600x1200 and 8X AA was used.

"This review is not a head-to-head comparison between this product and any other product. "

What's the point then?

I agree. I didn't get a "twitch" at all as the author claimed. To his defense he didn't claim the article was a head to head comparison.

The point is to inform consumers about a specific card's capabilities, features, etc.

Some reviews are comparison articles/shootouts/etc...mine was not as I clearly indicated.

And no, it's not to praise a product El_Coyote...I pointed out concerns and issues as well. I was honestly impressed with this card's performance and stability. I don't dish out empty praises.

'TURN IT ALL ON' should be 'TURN ON ALL THAT NVIDIA WILL ALLOW YOU TO'

Seriously, do you think your little bitching will make Nvidia look like an ass instead of yourself? Isn't anyone else getting tired of the little fan boys?
