A new version of my favorite MDI browser AVANT BROWSER 8.0 Beta 1 Build 635 has been released.

Changelog: Support RoboForm, a Password Manager and Form Filler. Improved Middle button dual mode. Improved Flash Blocker. Improved search bar. Improved Browsing Kernel. Added ALT+? shortcuts to Menus. Added Options to disable displaying confirmation for [Close All] and [Close all except the current]. Auto-detect changes in Favorites. Display Favorites in multi-AutoScroll-column. (Very useful when having 200+ favorites in one folder. Fixed dropdown button improperly displays a dropdown menu. Fixed cannot type in the address box sometime. Fixed sidebar will not open sometime.

AB really rocks if you use IE. Even if you use Mozilla/Opera, it's still worth trying. Great features in an extremely small package. |

Do ANY of these IE addon browsers respect the way your Favorites are organized? I've tried Avant, MYie, etc and none of them let you have Bookmarks in anything but alphabetical order. For example if you have a bookmark folder called "Technews" and have it at the top, none of the browsers let you have it at the top and move it around like you can in regular IE. But if you click Organize Favorites you'll see that indeed the Folders should be the way you want but aren't. |

Apparently no, none I've tried (including the one I settled on, NetCaptor) seem to be able to emulate IE's menu organization skills. Secret API, MS? heh However, at least NetCaptor shows the real icons set for the favorites, whereas AB STILL does not. |
