ATI Radeon X1950 XTX and high end multi-GPU solutions

As was the case with the Radeon X800, ATI decided it was time for a face lift for the current top of the line, the Radeon X1900 XTX. The Radeon X1950 XTX is born. It brings GDDR4 memory and a new cooling system. Behardware.com has tested this card and compared it to the ATI X1900 XTX, X1900 GT and NVIDIA 7950 GX2, 7900 GTX and 7900 GT.

The questions answered in this article are: What difference does a bigger memory bandwidth makes in practice? What is the position of this new top of line product compared to what NVIDIA offers? What are the performances of ATI and NVIDIA's multi-GPU solutions?
