ATI R5xxx Leaked Info

Elite Bastards have some interesting tidbits for you - Although the pipeline and ROP configuration and math capabilities of ATI's R520, RV530 and RV515 parts are still basically unknown, one of our sources has provided us with a comprehensive list of core and RAM clock speeds, cooling solutions and slated release dates for the entire R5xxx range of boards.

Damn, enough with the dumb rumors already. Even ATI doesn't know the final clocks due to cooling issues and disappointing wafer quality. Funny thing is people actually believe this stuff, like it was right from God.

Elite Bastards are very ATI biased, and I hope the 520 is faster that way it keeps prices competitive.

I don't know about the clock speeds, for as far as the 7800 GTX goes, it's faster than than higher-clocked XT PE. But 512MB of memory sure sounds sweet. Hope that draws a 512MB 7800 "Ultra" from Nvidia.

"Elite Bastards are very ATI biased"

I'm still wondering why people think that. I guess it has something to do with the theme. Or maybe it's just Dig that brings the reputation with him.

I'm not an elite bastard so I think I'm in a good position to confirm that the elite bastards site is not ATI biased.

Digital Wanderer is but not the majority of the posters over there.

Also, I remember DW stating in June that he was pretty sure that we will see R520s in August. I guess this was just one of his dreams :)

In June he made it sound like he had insider sources and news he couldn't tell anyone but now I'm pretty sure that he no longer wishes to speak about this August release date thing hehe

Dig likes to make up rumours as much as he likes hearing them :)

I believe you are in no position to discredit the info. He got banned at the forums there, and for the ones that have been around, for that to happen, it takes a lot.

Dunno if the rumors are true or not (hope they are thou...better competition is good for us all), but this is more on a personal level, just do some forum search. ;)

What are you talking about BX? He didn't get banned.

...and EB posts them as front page news. Why don't you and your Cronies have a contest or something to get more hits at that site.

They weren't Dig's rumours, as you would know, if you'd actually read it.

He was talking about you Poppi, not Speccy.

OK, so what is the difference of being a member of EB or not and discrediting rumors that EB posts as front page news? A rumor is a rumor, and for BX to say I was banned, so I don't know what I'm talking about, is just a weak attempt to discredit.

Yeah, but DW gave the rumors "extra credibility" if you would have actually read it.

I can't believe you're even responding to him, didn't we already have to put up with enough from him?

I can't get rid of him at every board I visit, but at least I could at EB and I just plan on ignoring him at the rest....it's not like he adds anything to the conversation 'cept antagonism. ;)

Thanks for the kindness to those that stood up for me, but it's cool....these ARE just rumors and they could be wrong, I just find that when I get the same rumors from multiple sources in a very short time span that it makes me think there might be something to them.

The "October" bit I really don't like, I was truly counting on the R520 being available back in April and I still haven't figured out what went wrong yet. :?

You can always depend on your Cronies to back you up. What you should be asking yourself is why objective people like Zed turn on you?

What I meant, is the purpose, motive, goal, objective of your intended comments could be "compromised" due to some "past-heat" between some EB members and you.

OK BX. Thanks for reiterating. Sorry for making assumptions about what you said.
