Schtopper writes: "I had a quick chat with one of the driver gurus from ATI and he confirmed that a new driver release (Catalyst 3.2) should be available this month. (Given how cautious he was in giving a date, I assume it will be mid month if all goes to plan).

The only things I know for sure that have been addressed, is a fix for the stuttering in Freelancer. In addition the stuttering problem as a whole has been looked at and will 'hopefully' be fixed this time around (no guarantee). He did mention that there was quite a few fixes but didn't specify a list."

Now let's hope Nvidia plans to release some new drivers soon as well, its been 3 months already since last official driver was released and new drivers are in development.

#41944 Posted on: 03/04/2003 09:10 PM Hopefuilly these drivers will actually work with the AIW cards. I haven't had a driver set work correctly since Catalyst 2.3. I keep having to report the same bug over and over again each time a new set comes out.

Really, I have. The catalyst since 3.0 have shown a real improvement in all around compatibility as well as performance.

#41948 Posted on: 03/04/2003 09:58 PM Well I install latest drivers and it doesn't work. I go back to old drivers and it works. Hmm, what do you think could be the problem? I'm talking about the TV/Capture component of the AIW. If you're using it just to play games then I agree with you the newer drivers are better.
