Apple Computer plans to announce Monday that it's scrapping its partnership with IBM and switching its computers to Intel's microprocessors, CNET News.com has learned.

Agreed on the Athlon. I wonder though. If, perhaps, Macs will now use Intel processors, will they be capable of running on x86 type systems? I've considered using a Mac, but not if I have to buy all of their hardware as well. A dual boot WinXP/Mac would be very interesting indeed. |
