| The AMD Barcelona has finally arrived, kicking and screaming after an extremely long pregnancy and an arduous birth. The new quad-core Opteron 8300 and 2300 series of processors is the culmination of years of effort and work.
Will it pay off for AMD? Well, this is the real test for the processors. All the benchmarks in the world (simulated or otherwise) will not tell us if the AMD Barcelona will sink and swim. That's for the marketplace to decide. |
