The stuff about the PhysX-chip having the same impact as 3dfx had with the Voodoo1 is just silly. We're talking about off-loading, not revolutionizing. If they can keep what they promise, we'll see a situation where some people will have a richer experience (due to added objects with physics, like breaking windows, walls tumbling down etc.), but it'll be more like the difference of a GF4Ti & GF6800, not like software rendering vs 3dfx voodoo1 rendering. all imho of course.. |

As the above person stated, the jump from Quake to GLQuake was revolutionary... when it came to graphics. This on the other hand is a revolution in terms of gameplay, with its physic driven environments. We are going to move away from static, pre-sripted words, to dynamic, player driven destruction. Revolutionary, very much so imo. |
