Thanks to the other BatCave winOScentral for the heads up?
I have an ABIT NF7-S motherboard and I use the onboard 10/100 LAN adapter as most of you probably do.
To cut a long story short, I tried my ?super-duper speed up internet tweaks? and that helped a bit but what really did it was a setting on the NIC itself. Those who are running an nVidia NFORCE NIC should check this out and see what it does for you.

In other news, ATI drivers let you force vsync. This isn't NF7-S specific, it is on all boards with NForce NICs. It's right in the driver options... not news worthy. |
