Just spotted this bit of news over at OCworkbench.com:
Today, we spent some time with a VIA K8 A64 board and noticed something that we would like to share with you.
1) The AXP 3100+ appears as AXP 2900+ 2) CAS 2 won't work at all.
This reaffirmed our earlier postings about the downgrade of 3100 as 2900 (as recognised by latest BIOS). The second point seems strange as selecting CAS 2 no matter what ram timings, the board wouldn't boot. More reports coming...
