Thanks to god... an update for Nforce2! Am I the only one that have an Nforce2 mainboard? If not, I don't understand why Nvidia has forgotten us... I think my machine is not obsolete at all. In fact, I can play latest videogames very well (I have a 6600 GT videocard too), and perhaps this new drivers could improve them little more. And what happen with famous Unified Drivers for all nForce boards? I have had to rip audio drivers from nForce4 to solve some issues with certain games. They are same audio hardware, and promised Unified Drivers might solve them. I am confussed with lots of beta drivers an parallel versions... |

i totally agree with you, nvidia should support nforce2 owner since this mb is what most nvidia nforce owners have. and they should certainly unify all nforce3 & 4 drivers on one package, and make nforce2 users at least separated updated... one thing more, the latest drivers 81.85 i think, are corrupting my hl2... |

I agree. I was glad to finally see an update for nForce 3 boards. It's been just over a year now since the last. |

It would seem not much... 5.10 Audio driver version 4.42 (WHQL) Audio utility version 4.44 Win2K ethernet driver version 4.16 (WHQL) WinXP ethernet driver version 4.16 (WHQL) Ethernet NRM driver version 4.42 (WHQL) Network management tools version 4.42 GART driver version 4.36 (WHQL) with updated uninstaller files Memory controller driver version 3.38 (WHQL) with updated uninstaller files SMBus driver version 4.04 (WHQL) with updated uninstaller files Installer version 4.46 Win2K IDE 2.6 driver version 4.46 (WHQL) with updated uninstaller files WinXP IDE 2.6 driver version 4.46 (WHQL) with updated uninstaller files 5.11 Audio driver version 4.42 (WHQL) Audio utility version 4.44 Win2K ethernet driver version 4.16 (WHQL) WinXP ethernet driver version 4.16 (WHQL) Ethernet NRM driver version 4.82 (WHQL) Network management tools version 4.88 GART driver version 4.36 (WHQL) with updated uninstaller files Memory controller driver version 3.38 (WHQL) SMBus driver version 4.04 (WHQL) Installer version 4.46 Win2K IDE driver version 4.46 (WHQL) with updated uninstaller files WinXP IDE driver version 4.46 (WHQL) with updated uninstaller files Considering I update my nForce2 board's gigabit ethernet and audio drivers with Realteks' own, it would seem what I just installed was exactly the same thing : I would say 5.11 has no use - stay on 5.10 and update gig eth/audio from realtek whom have better drivers and utilities and releases come out more often too. |

I don't know if I should laugh or cry - the support for NForce 2 is a nightmare! And looking on the updated drivers - there is practically NO DIFFERENCE between 5.10 and 5.11 set of drivers... (only ethernet drivers changed) What a pity... They surely know how to loose customers... Next Mo'bo will be with VIA chipset ! |

About nforce2....is there a real need for driver updates to your system? If everything works fine and is stable no other updates are needed.......I dont know why you guys think its "cool" to update drivers when it is not needed and does nothing to your performance. All it does it give you a reason to cry about support...dumbass noobs |

Sigh... just a change of version numbers does not count as a new set of drivers |

Good luck with that - with Via, you'll not only get cr4ppy drivers but cr4ppy designed hardware to boot. Via chipsets are the suck, since the days of the KT133 (how many revs did that go through to keep fixing bugs?), they have yet to fix the problem with system lockups when performing large data transfers between storage devices. I've got an Abit NF7-S (v2) that's nF2 chipset based and I haven't ever had a single issue with it. Granted I don't use the onboard sound, but then again, who in their right mind does? You don't get DX acceleration that way. |

so do you think there is nothing to update? nvidia ide driver should be updated or removed since its the most unuseful driver in the package, almost everyone had at least one problem concerning with it. also, sound drivers are totally outdated, so... are you sure there is nothing to update? as i said, at least make a separated UPDATED update hahah :P (im talkingabout 4.62 audio drivers) |
