3DMark 340 patch performance and IQ comparison

Posted by: [NT] on: 11/12/2003 01:05 PM [ Print | 12 comment(s) ] · 2017 views

Beyond3D has a 3DMark03 Patch 3.4.0 performance and image quality analysis up, using cards from ATi, nVidia, and even Matrox.

It also features comments from both ATi and nVidia on the current situation, including some disturbing thoughts from nVidia's Derek Perez:

'Derek went on to suggest that they may well end up chasing each patch release and re-optimising as Futuremark puts a patch that defeats previous detections!'

I think I'll stick with my Ti4200 and skip R3xx and NV3x.

I just can't BELIEVE the cluelessness and hypocrisy of nVidia, that last page is mind blowing! (And it figures Hanners beat me to posting it here. ;) )

Well if you want to wait until the situation changes you might have to skip R420 and NV40 as well.
