Well, Microsoft seems to have went half-ass on us again. It was previously stated/reported that XP SP-1 was going to fix the 60Hz gaming issue and, I for one, was looking forward to no longer having to use refresh fix programs. I recently downloaded the 1106 final release SP-1 and Mircosoft has..

(contd.)..indeed fixed the 60Hz gaming issue, FOR DIRECT X GAMES ONLY. All DIRECT X games will, in fact, apply the current desktop refresh rate to all resolutions for Direct X games. If the game uses OPEN GL (i.e. Medal Of Honor), you will still be stuck at the usual 60Hz unless you use a refresh rate fix like NVRT. Once again, Microsoft does not listen to what their customer want.
