I mean, if your laptop would get too hot, the whole 4 or 5 real manufacturers of laptops would catch that, and put in better cooling, right? But one could say that a cooler system will last longer, and perhaps be not as prone to crashes and lock-ups. Back on track here, this cooler is very unique in a few ways; it has a 4 port USB 2.0 Hub, adjustable fan speed, and it's AC powered!
