ClawHammer, 32 bit only? Posted on: 09/01/2002 01:36 AM According to an article on Internetweek.com, the clawhammer is a 32 bit version of the hammer cpu, whereas the opteron is the 64 bit counterpart. The 32-bit version of the chip, which will be sold under the Athlon name, is due out in the first quarter. The 64-bit version, targeted for higher-end servers, is due in 2003.
