Read a comment by Dan Williams(?)...apparently associated with Red Hat...that V2 of the WG511 will be recognized by the OS if it says Made in Taiwan (using the Prism chipset)...but...if it says Made in China...the OS does not recognize it since the chipset was changed to the Marvell chipset. I verified this by running "lspci -vv". Jim

Working great (despite few hours of testing, i still have not encountered minor problems) with ndiswrapper 1.2 and the Microsoft Windows 2000 driver on the installation cd (NOT with the Windows XP one). Follow the instruction on the ndiswrapper wiki at: http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/mediawiki/index.php/Installation
