This software is fantastic in design, but has some major issues with detection of sound cards, latency and general errors. It requires a LOT of time to become efficient at this, but once mastered rivals with ProTools note.. this software is discontinued at version 5.5.1 on the M$ Windows platform. It is now available only on MAC. I get a General Protection Fault (GPF) on the "setup memory buffers" phase of the application initialisation. Perhaps this has something to do with the WOW64 compatibility layer of windows.. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_on_Windows for an understanding. It works fantastic on standard windows XP, but I recommend using "classic" modes in everything in order to tune performance. |
