Works fine in 2D, but 3D very poorly. Does not support Compiz/Beryl (compositing), with either closed or open source drivers. 3D games run very, very poorly (though they do work), performance does not come close to what you get using windows. |

I'm on Ubuntu 7.04 (feisty fawn)on Abit AV8 system w/ old ATI Radeon 9000 pro. This card works good. I didn't have problem with 3D cuz I upgraded the RAM memory to 1 GB and it ran effortlessly on 3D desktop. BUT If turn on animation, and many settings. It'll slow down a bit. I don't see much problem with it. I noticed that newer "Beta" Ubuntu 7.10 did have issue with graphic card. it works fine but the monitor did not center. I had to change the resolution and refresh rate to match Monitor's config. It works fine. but when logged off and the logon screen was off center and "large". So I haven't figure it out how to fix that log on screen issue. |
